safe & sound. pickd up her and her mother in Ft. Myer’s today. first time at O’Hare, luckily she made it through the security chekpoint. i guess the weather’s pretty whack in Chicago, her flight was delayd about 2 hrs. word is: she cried for a bit on the plane, but once they took off she stoppd and passd-out. i don’t blame her, if only it was acceptable for grown-ups to cry while waitn on the runway… lookn fwd to makn sandCastles with her.

@johncmayer posted a contest via Twitter yesterday. not sure what the rules were, but the game goes: string together as many movie titles in a row as you can. when i woke this morning, a winner had been annouced. winning sequence: @cheyannejo Lion King and I am Legend of Sleepy Hollow Man of the Year One Night Stand and Deliver us from Evil Dead Man Walking Tall. i counted 13. impressive, no? yes. i was stuck on: Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead Man Walking the Line. now my Mother, on the other hand, is quite the movie buff. so, i mentioned the game to her this morning. randomly throughout lunch she’d rattle off 2-3 title sequences. it was hysterical, they got longer as the day went on. moments ago, she handed me a piece of paper. here’s what it read: Kingdom of Heaven Can Wait Until Dark City of God and Monsters vs. Aliens 3 Men and a Little Lady from Shanghai Knights of the Round Table for Five Easy Pieces of April in Paris is Burning. absolutely hilarious! she deserves something, most definitely. so, we’re gona take a ride, and i’m treating her to some ice cream. if i could hug this lady all day, i would.

Pikd up my buddy from wrk last night. “When you walk inside, go up a few steps. Turn right and go down a flight of stairs. Go right, passed the vending machines, And enter the door with the decal.” While there, I admired the decorated wall. All plaques on either side are school-recognized awards. The shields towards the top are Regional titles, And the darker-colored shields are National titles. Thank you, lost&Found. I dig my new UVa tee.
